A series of large scale monochrome paintings that use Victorian pornography as source material. The ‘performers’ now playing roles as Erotes (Greek mythology) in a tableau vivant. The pictorial space created by its subjects dividing or multiplying out of themselves. Carnal fractrals of self obsession and desire.
Four of these recent large scale monochrome paintings were shown alongside works from another series:’ Progress’ which also uses historical subject as a device or way to reflect upon the contemporary world.
