PROGRESS
PROGRESS

A series of paintings and drawings using the work of William Hogarth as its motif. The work first began as a series of etchings taken directly from the engravings of William Hogarth’s ‘ A Rakes Progress’ and ‘A Harlots Progress’ . Using a cut up collage technique Hogarth’s work on self and societal destruction is re imagined here where entropic forces are obsorbed within the image.
